MY STORY
Hi, I'm Nivedita.
I'm a nice Midwestern girl from the suburbs of Chicago.
I discovered my first love when I was 3 years old: reading. I read so much that my family said there was a book permanently attached to my hand. I read everything I could get my hands on, and I hated to not be reading for even 10 minutes. I took my books everywhere with me -- even into the shower. I couldn't stand there being a minute when I was not reading.
When I was in middle school, I discovered my second love: movies. I realized that the person onscreen and I were having the same experience, feeling the same emotions. I felt connected to the person onscreen through emotions. I believe that acting is a tool for empathy, and emotions are the truest form of communication. No one in the world can really be that different from you if you can understand what they're feeling.
TV, books, and movies have changed my life. Entertainment has gotten me through the most difficult periods in my life and has given me the philosophies that have shaped my life. I believe that creating entertainment is the most powerful way to change the world, and I've been lucky
enough to meet other people who share my vision.
I moved to New York to make a career out of what I love. I've been in places that I never could have imagined and had some of the best and worst experiences of my life. 8 years later, I feel lucky to still be in an industry that I love. I can't wait to get up every day and learn more about creating great entertainment.
Throughout my career, I hope to create work that changes people's lives for the better. I'm always looking to meet positive people who want to create social change through their work, in all industries. Drop me a line if that sounds like you.
